Our Story
Our family’s journey is a blend of Persian and Indian heritage, shaped by history and tradition. It began when Allama Majlisi and the Shezor brothers came to India in search of a new home. Years later, my grandfather moved from Uttar Pradesh to Hyderabad, carrying forward our family’s legacy while embracing new opportunities.
On my mother’s side, our Persian roots remained strong. Our ancestors came to India to escape difficult times, bringing their culture and traditions with them. This rich heritage is the heart of Abidi’s Kitchen, where we celebrate the flavors passed down through generations.
Even today, our family proudly holds on to both cultures. Many of us still speak Farsi while also embracing Indian traditions. At Abidi’s, every dish tells a story - a mix of our past and present, bringing people together through food.
By sharing these flavors, we keep our heritage alive and honor the journey of our ancestors. Our story is not just about food; it’s about connection, culture, and passing on traditions for generations to come.
